We are happy to announce our new coach to you, Sara Bottalico. Coach Bottalico will also be teaching Chemistry full time at Redondo Union in the fall and is excited about being able to continue to pursue her passion for dance. She has been working with a Dance Team at Calabasas High School for the past four years, in addition to many other accolades in her career as a dancer.

Sara Bottalico is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area (Walnut Creek). She began dancing at the age of 5 at Dance Connection Performing Arts Center in Concord, CA. While studying Biochemistry at Cal Poly, SLO, she was a member of the Orchesis Dance Company, the auditioned performing ensemble on campus. After college, Sara moved down to Costa Mesa, where she worked various jobs, including teaching dance at Orange County Dance and Theater Arts. Her dream was always to become a teacher, so after 3 years of working, she decided to attend Pepperdine University in Irvine and received her Master of Education and Teaching Credential. She taught Chemistry and Biology for the past 4 years at Calabasas High School. For the past 3 years, she has been the Assistant Coach of the Dance Team, attending sporting events and competitions with the team as well as helping with the 2 annual dance concerts. She is extremely passionate about dance and excited about the opportunity to work with a new group of dancers!

Please help me warmly welcome Coach Bottalico into the Dance Guard world at Redondo Union. We will arrange a social for the girls and parents in the near future…stay tuned. She can be reached at seahawkdance@rbusd.org

Thank you Ms.Slemmons for your continued help to ensure that our new coach is prepared for the Fall semester!
